Use Perfin with Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini

Perfin's connector lets an AI assistant you use yourself answer questions about your own money: where it went, recurring payments, purchases at one shop, budgets and goals. It can also create a goal and change its costs and tasks if you allow that. It can never move money, pay bills or change your transactions.

How approval works

  1. Add Perfin in your assistant (steps below).
  2. The assistant opens Perfin's connect page. If you are signed in to Perfin, press Approve there. Otherwise type your email, then enter the 8-digit code in the Perfin app under Settings > Connections.
  3. The connection stays for up to 30 days. End it any time in Settings > Connections, where you can also see every question the assistant asked.

Claude

  1. Open Perfin's page in Claude's directory (claude.ai/directory/perfin).
  2. Press Connect to Claude and sign in if you are asked.
  3. Approve in Perfin. Turn Perfin on in a chat from + > Connectors.

ChatGPT

  1. Open chatgpt.com/plugins and add a custom MCP server with the address https://perfin.finafa.eu/api/mcp and OAuth sign-in.
  2. Approve in Perfin when ChatGPT asks you to connect.

Gemini

  1. Open gemini.google.com on a computer and go to Settings > Connected Apps.
  2. Choose + Custom and paste https://perfin.finafa.eu/api/mcp.
  3. Approve in Perfin. Then type @Perfin in a chat to use it.

Google offers custom apps for personal accounts and in the languages and countries it chooses, so the option may not be there for everyone.

For Gemini Enterprise admins

Gemini Enterprise needs a client ID and client secret. Write to hello@finafa.eu with your redirect URI and we create them. Details for the Custom MCP Server data store:

  • MCP server URL: https://perfin.finafa.eu/api/mcp
  • Authorization URL: https://perfin.finafa.eu/connect
  • Token URL: https://perfin.finafa.eu/api/oauth/token
  • Scopes: read goals.write (or only read)

Your data
